What did president Roosevelt do to try to counter the effects of the Great Depression? What problems did the collapse of the American economy cause in other countries?

    Because of debts and dependence on American loans and investments, Germany and Austria were greatly affected. - Austria's largest bank failed in 1931 and in Asia, urban workers and farmers suffered as the value of exports failed. - It greatly affected Latin America too, as the U. S. and Europe demanded for copper, beef, and sugar from Latin America in which the prices collapsed.
