This affected segregation by enacting the Jim Crow laws which were system of laws meant to discriminate against African-Americans that spread across u. s. For decades any type of public facility could legally be separated into whites only or black even the United States Army could be segregated. It also main rules and laws to make it very hard for African Americans to vote.
