What issue faced the framers of the u. s. Constitution when they wrote all men are created equal

They meant all men are equal under the authority of God; that everybody is held accountable for God's laws. They wrote this because at the time everyone had strayed from God's laws. It was basically put in the U. S Constitution because they are trying to express that everyone is seen as equal in God's eyes, no one is better or worse.
