Richard has just been pulled over by a police officer. He knows why. He was driving 80 miles per hour on a road when he should have only been driving 65 miles per hour. As a responsible citizen, Richard should

tell the officer that he is late to an important meeting, apologize, and argue he should not receive a ticket

treat the officer with respect, accept the ticket, and drive more carefully to keep from hurting anyone

pretend he does not know why the officer pulled him over and argue about how fast he was driving

be kind to the officer but claim that the speedometer said he was only going 67 miles per hour
