Saudi Arabia and Kuwait supported Iraq financially during the Iran-Iraq War. Other countries who financed Iraq were the United States who would later fight Iraq twice. Iraq received huge amounts of financial support from these countries to fight Iran yet they became enemies after Iraq invaded Kuwait.
