    economic sanctions; negotiations; providing aid

Soft foreign policy is the use of non-violent but coercive methods to achieve foreign policy goals.

Economic sanctions are financial penalties or a boycott against a country. Negotiations requires diplomats working together to find a solution to a global issue instead of going to war. Lastly, providing aid means giving money to a country in conflict in hopes it will tip the balance of the conflict.

"reducing tariffs" "providing aid" and "negotiations" would all be examples of soft-power implementations of foreign policy, since with these there is no bloodshed or possibility of violence due to harsh economic sanctions.
