Define and compare and contrast the UCR, NIBRS, and the National Crime Victimization Survey. How does each system serve a purpose in collecting and reporting data?

    UCR (Uniform Crime Reporting):

    The UCR is implemented in the different states of the United States by the cooperative work or mutual function of different institutions. As the data regarding the different crimes is collected by mutual cooperation of FBI and other investigative authorities inside the US.

    NIBRS (National Incident-Based Reporting System):

    The NIBRS is a procedure of investigation is been implemented by the federal investigation authorities such as FBI, in order to compile and collect the criminal records regarding the general public. The general public includes the researchers, teacher and other students etc which work for the sake of the United States welfare and development.

    NCVS (National Crime Victimization Survey):

    The sort of investigation and collections of criminal data, on the basis of the previously held census or surveys of the United States Census Bureau.

    In order to visualize or make the crime scene more understandable the The bureau of Justice statistics (BJS) NCVS has a procedure to collect the data and compile the authentic links or missing dots which will lead to solving the cases of the following crimes, as physical violence or any medical case, personal robbery, aggravated and simple assault, household burglary, theft, and motor vehicle theft. As the procedure implemented is so called as the redesign survey for collecting the criminal records or report.

    UCR (Uniform Crime Reporting) : This investigation procedure is not carried out directly but the analyses is carried on the basis of records or documentation present with the FBI, so, they will first contact the FBI for providing enough information and after that the process will be further carried out. Along, with that in UCR procedure of investigation mostly takes the cases relating females under-consideration. NIBRS (National Incident-Based Reporting System) : The criminal activities which are related to the individuals who are mostly researchers, students of law, and more over the general public. The NCVS (National Crime Victimization Survey) : The investigation held is basically dependent on a previous record or census held by the federal agencies, as they work by implementation of redesign survey in order to connect different dots and to link them to assemble a proper case or document, while keeping the previous records and census under consideration.
