    First arrange your equation into y=mx+c

    -2y=4x-1 then make y only 1 to do that divide all numbers by 2 (because theres 2y)

    -y=2x-0.5 y can't be a negative so change it

    y=-2x+0.5

    c = y intercept so 0.5 is y intercept

    to find x intercept make y = 0

    0=-2x+0.5 then balance the equation by adding 2x on both sides

    0+2x = - 2x + 0.5 + 2x

    2x = 0.5 then divide both sides by 2 (because theres 2x and you only need 1)

    x = 0.25

    so 0.25 is your x intercept
