Two siblings get bags of Jelly Beans and start eating them at different speeds. After a while Maya has 3 times as many Jelly Beans as her brother Tommy. If Maya is given 20 more beans by a friend, she will have 7 times as many beans as Tommy. How many Jelly Beans does Tommy have?

    3t + 20 = 7t

    20 = 7t - 3t

    20 = 4t

    20/4 = t

    5 = t ... Tommy has 5 jelly beans
