If you were to solve a function and you are subtracting from x do you subtract or add

G (2) - 2=2squared-2

what do you do with the minus 2 at the beginning?

    Well what you do is you leave it since g (x) is a function

    iff you don't know what g (x) is, then treat g (x) as an unknown, or?

    ?-2=2^2-2

    add 2 to both sides

    ?=2^2

    ?=4

    g (2) = 4
