For 5-6. Use the expression below to answer questions 5 and 6. 5. Write an equivalent expression in standard form and collect like terms, 3 (x - 2y) + 1/2 (6x - 8y). 6. Express the answer from question 5 as an equivalent expression in factored form.

    5. For this question, you should distribute each half, leaving (3x-6y) + (3x-4y). This is then a simple addition/subtraction problem, with the anwer 6x - 10y

    6. For this question, I am not sure, but I think it would just be 2 (3x-5y), because 2 is the GCF of those two terms.
