multiply both sides by 1/4096

8^x=134217728/4096=32768

32768 = 2^15 or 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 or since we know that 8=2*2*2 we can group the 2's this way (2*2*2) (2*2*2) (2*2*2) (2*2*2) (2*2*2) we notice that there are 5 groups so 8^5 is the answer so x=5
