    Isolate the y:

    3y = 2x + z

    Divide both sides by 3:

    y = 2/3x + 1/3z

    There you have it!

    Subtract 2x from both sides of the equation which is 3y=-2x+z. Then divide both sides by 3. So the answer is y=-2/3x + 1/3z
