At 1 pm there were 16 seagulls on the beach. At 3 pm there were 40 seagulls. What is the. constant rate of change

    All you have to do is subtract 40 from 16 which equals 24. Then divide 24 by 2 which gets you 12. Now, add 16 and 12 which give you 28. 28 represents the number of seagulls that came at 2 pm. Therefore, the constant rate of change is 12.
