There were 24 dogs and cats that were adopted from the animal shelter last week. Three times as many dogs as cats were adopted. How many dogs were adopted?

    I think it's D. because it's asking how many dogs were adopted after last week, not how many cats. 24x3=72. 72-24=48 dogs
