    1) x-5>20

    2) x+4<12

    3) x+3.5 > / = so basically >with a line underneath 14.5

    4) x - (-5) <7 or x+5<7 first 1 is right though I think

    5) (-12) + x > / = 6 same as 3

    6) x-11>15

    Let's say this number is x

    five less than the number is x-5

    five less than x is bigger than twenty can be written as:

    x-5>20

    in these questions pretend the > is an equals sign and work from there

    x-5=20 add five to both sides

    x=25

    its important to remember to replace the = with a > again after though.

    therefore x>25. That's how you write the answer

    thats generally how you do them, when you get older they do of course get harder, but thats the main thing you must know
