    2 dozen = 23 minutes

    12 dozen is 6 times the original question.

    6 x 23 = 138 minutes

    Estimate : 2 dozen cookies = 24 cookies ... so he can make 24 cookies in 23 minutes ... 12 dozen = 144 cookies ... he can make 144 cookies in 143 minutes. < = = this is the estimate

    2/23 = 12/x

    2x = 276

    x = 276/2

    x = 138 < = = this is the actual minutes
