Let x be the amount of fuel left in the carw is The full capacity of the fuel tankthe algebraic expression for the amount of gasoline left in the car isx = w (3/4) * (1 - 0.6)

    b. w = 15.5x = w (3/4) * (1 - 0.6) x = (15.5) (3/4) * (1 - 0.6) x = 4.5 gallons left at the end of the journey
