    Y = f (x) + k

    The k on the function will translate the function up or down.

    If k is positive, it will translate up.

    If k is negative, it will translate down.

    It will move the function up k units, assuming k is a constant

    basically

    y=f (x) + k, moves f (x) up k units

    y=f (x-k), moves f (x) right k units

    moves up k units
