    We can write an equation. If x is the number of months ...

    50+65x=180+55x.

    Subtract 55x on both sides and subtract 50 on both sides to get ...

    10x=130

    Divide by 10 on both sides to get ...

    x=13

    So 13 months.

    For the amount, plug in 13 to either side of the equation to get an amount of 895 dollars
