If a 2 mile train traveling at 12 mph goes through a 1 mile tunnel, how long does it take to go through the tunnel completely? When you get the answer can you send me the answer. I checked online it says 15 min but how u get the work?

    Think there are 60 min per hour and you are going 12mph. therefore 60/12 equals 5. Then to get a two mile long train through a one mile long tunnel, it would take 5 min for the first mile of the train and another five min for the second mile

    ... I'm not sure how it's 15 minutes though. Sorry
