    Solve each seperately

    3x+12>-9

    minus 12 both sides

    3x>-21

    divide by 3 both sides

    x>-7

    9x-3<33

    add 3 both sides

    9x<36

    divide both sides by 9

    x<4

    so

    x>-7 and x<4

    -7
solution is all numbers betwee - 7 and 4 not including - 7 nor 4
