Use the formula for pressure to determine the weight of a box that creates a pressure of 565 N/cm2 when resting on a 15.0 cm2 surface.

weight = 3.84 N

weight = 377 N

weight = 37.7 N

weight = 8,475 N

    Pressure is the force exerted by one body on the another. It is denoted by P and its SI unit is Pascal (Pa) or N/cm2 (in this case)

    Pressure equals to Force upon the area.

    So the formula forms P = F/A

    P = 565 N/cm^2

    A = 15 cm^2

    F = ?

    So, putting the known values in formula,

    565 = F/15

    F = 565 * 15

    F = 8,475 N

    So, the weight is 8,475N.
