    180 at 15% off = 180 - 27 = 153

    200 at 20% off = 200 - 40 = 160

Sports City: If an item is 15% off, you actually pay 85%. So $180 *.85 = $153

Tennis World: If an item is 20% off, you actually pay 80%. So $200 *.80 = $160

Even though Tennis World had a higher percentage discount, with their price being higher to begin with the discount did not bring the price down enough so that it was a better buy that from Sports City.

    * * Note on my math: By doing the calculation this way, if you don't have to tell what the amount of discount is, you only have to do one step.
