Suppose that a baseball is thrown upward with an initial velocity of 110 ft per second and its released 3ft above the ground. its height h after t is given by h = 16t^2+110t+3. after how many seconds does the ball reach maximum height?

    The maximum happens height is when t=-b/2a

    in this case, a=16, b=110, so t=110/32=3.4375
