Ken wants to rent a car for a week and pay no more than $130. How far can he drive if the car rental costs $94 a week plus $0.40 a mile?

    0.4m+94=130

    subtract 94 to both sides

    0.4m=36

    divide both sides by 0.4

    m=90

    the distance (m) he could drive would be 90 miles
