Without a diagram, 4 triangles can be integrated to determine the area.

INT (6x) dx from 0 to 1 then Add

    INT (-2x+8) dx from 1 to 4

Subtract INT (3x/2) dx from 0 to 3

    Subtract INT (-2x+8) from 3 to 4
