    You have to find a way to eliminate either x and y. We'll eliminate x:

    2x + 3y = - 5

    3x - 5y = 21

    2x*3 + 3y*3 = - 5*3

    3x*-2 + - 5y*-2 = 21*-2

    6x + 9y = - 15

    -6x + 10y = - 42

    19y = - 57

    y = - 3
