Solve for x in the equation x^2-8x+41=0

    First, you do x^2-8 which = - 8. Then, you drop the rest. After that, you combine like terms. Which that gives you 49. So your equation looks like this ... 33-8x=0. You then subtract 33 to both sides and your equation looks like this, - 8x = - 33. Now all you do is divide by - 8 and your answer is x=4.125.

    x = (8 + sqrt (-100) / 2 and (8 - sqrt (-100) / 2
