To solve this problem, we simply have to use ratio and proportion.

We know that 15 gallons is consumed in 10 minutes therefore the conversion factor is:

    15 gallons / 10 minutes

    Therefore in 77 minutes:

    water consumed = (15 gallons / 10 minutes) * 77 minutes

    water consumed = 115.5 gallons
