    L, A, B = the amount of money each person has.

    L + A + B = 70

    B = 3L

    L = A + 5 or A = L-5

    Set up an equation in L only:

    L + L - 5 + 3L = 70

    5L - 5 = 70

    5L = 75

    L = 15

    follows

    B=3*15 = 45

    A = 15 - 5 = 10
