A system of equations is given below. y=1/2x-3 and y=1/2x-3 Which of the following statements best describes the two lines? They have the same slope but different y-intercepts, so they have no solution. They have the same slope but different y-intercepts, so they have one solution. They have different slopes but the same y-intercept, so they have no solution. They have different slopes but the same y-intercept, so they have one solution.

    They both have the same slope (1/2) and the same y intercept (-3) so there are infinitely many solutions.

    If you need to solve it:

    1/2x-3=1/2x-3

    Add 3 to both sides

    1/2x=1/2x

    Multiply by 2x

    1=1

    There are no variables in the answer so it has infinitely many solutions.
