    The acceleration is given by:

    a = (v2-v1) / t

    where

    a=accelaration

    v2=second velocity

    v1=first velocity

    thus the acceleration will be:

    v1=6.5 m/s

    v2=24 m/s

    t=3.5min=210 sec

    thus

    a = (24-6.5) / 210

    a=0.09286 m/s²

    Answer: 0.09286 m/s²
