What is the solution of

I3x + 5I = 5x + 2?

a. X = - 7/8

b. X = 3/2

c. X = - 7/8 or x = 3/2

d. X = 19/8 or x = 19/2

    Answer is b

    there are 2 cases

    1: if x is less than - 5/3

    then you have - 3x-5=5x+2

    solve and get x=-7/8 which is invalid

    2: if x is more than - 5/3

    then you have 3x+5=5x+2

    solve and get x=3/2 which is valid

    so b is the answee
