Given the system of inequalities:

4x - 5y ≤ 1

1/2y - x ≤ 3

/Which shows the given inequalities in slope-intercept form?

A) y ≤ 4/5x - 1/5

y ≤ 2x + 6

B) y ≥ 4/5x - 1/5

    This is the concept of algebra, we are required to rewrite the inequality given in slope-intercept form. Thus;

    4x-5y≤1 ... i

    1/2y-x≤3 ... ii

the slope intercept form is given by the form y=mx+c, where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept

    from i

    4x-5y≤1

    this can be written as:

    -5y≤1-4x

dividing through by - 5 we get:

    y≥4/5x-1/5

    from ii

    1/2y-x≤3 ... ii

    1/2y≤3+x

multiplying through by 2 we get:

    y≤2x+6

the answer will therefore be A:

    y≥4/5x-1/5

    y≤2x+6
