A game at a carnival allows you to pick on ball from a bucket of 10 identical balls. three of the balls are marked to win a prize. one game allows you two chances. if you do not pick a winning ball the first time, you put the ball back and then pick again. what is the probability that you do not pick a winning ball either pick?

    The probability would be 49/100.

    Since you put the ball back before drawing a second time, the events are independent.

    The chances of not drawing a winning ball the first time is 7/10. The probability of not drawing a winning ball the second time would also be 7/10. The total probability would be

    7/10 (7/10) = 49/100.
