A car can cover 405 miles on 15 gallons of gas.

A. Write an equation to represent the number of miles (y) the car could travel if we knew how many gallons of gas (x) were in the car.

B. Approximately how much gas would this car us if they had to travel 2,500 miles? Round the answer to the nearest hundredth.

    A - 405 miles : x or 405 miles : 15 gallons.

    B. Y: X

    Y = 2, 500

    X=15

    2, 500:15=166.670 (rounded to the nearest hundredth)
