There are 10 cats, 15 dogs, and 12 birds in a shelter. One animal is randomly selected. What is P (dog and cat) ?

    Try this decision:

    1) P = (dog+cat) / (all_animals);

    2) dogs+cats=10+15=25; all_animals=10+15+12=37;

    3) P=25/37≈0676.
