Which is better? $5 off a $28 dollar item or 20% off a $28 item?

    20% of a $28 item because if you mutiply. 20*28 you get 5.6 then if you subtract the amount of the item ($28) by 5.6 you get $22.40

    The 20% because first you would do 28 times. 20 because that's your percentage, you would get 5.6 then subtract 28-5.6 which is 22.40. (28-5=23)
