A quadratic equation is shown below:

9x2 - 16x + 60 = 0

Part A: Describe the solution (s) to the equation by just determining the discriminant. Show your work.

Part B: Solve 4x2 + 8x - 5 = 0 by using an appropriate method. Show the steps of your work and explain why you chose the method used.

Part C: Solve 2x2 - 12x + 5 = 0 by using a method different from the one you used in Part B. Show the steps of your work.

    Simplify your answer:

    18x - 16x + 60 = 0

    2x + 60 = 0

    2x = - 60

    x=-30

    B) Simplify to solve the problem, it is the simplest way to find the answer:

    8x+8x-5=0

    16x-5=0

    16x=-5

    x=-3.2 (Ok this one is probably wrong, but y'a know ...)

    C) 4x - 12x+5=0

    -8x=-5

    8x=5

    x=1.6 (Ok seriously how'd I mess up)

    Question: When you say 2x2 do you mean 2 times 2 or 2x times 2?
