The sides of a rectangle are in the ratio 5:7 and the perimeter of the rectangle is 96 cm. What is the area of the rectangle?

    Let length and width be 5x and 7x.

    2 * (5x+7x) = 96

    24x=96

    x=4

    Area:

    (5*4) (7*4)

    =20*28

    =560 unit square
