    Y = 3x - 4

    y = 3x + 2

    how do they compare ... they have the same slope which is 3 ... they have different y intercepts ... y = 3x - 4 has a y int of (0,-4) and y = 3x + 2 has a y int of (0,2) ... so basically the only difference is their y int
