    Consumption per 14 Mile/gallon. OR 14 MPG

    Distance is = Number of gallons in the tank x MPG

    Let y = distance and x = the number of gallons, then:

    y = x. (MPG). (MPG is a constant)

    Apply it to the given dа ta: MPG = 14 and x = 22 gallons,

    y = 22. (14) = 308 miles
