A regular hexagon has 6 equal sides and all the inner angles are the same. Since we know that a hexagon has 6 equal sides and we know one side is 6ft we can find the fence with out the side walk by multiplying 6 x 6 = 36ft of fence. The question at hand is how much fenceing would be needed if each side will be 2ft longer. This means we take the 6ft we know and add 2ft to the 6f, which would give us 8ft of fence for one side. Now we take 8ft and times it by the number of side a hexagon has, which is 6. So 8 * 6 = 48ft of fence
