    3rd tree = x

    1st tree = 3x+50

    2nd tree = 2x+100

    3x+50 = 2x+100

    subtract 50 from each side

    3x = 2x+50

    subtract 2x from each side

    x = 50

    so 3rd tree = 50 feet tall

    Answer is B
