The student council needs to raise at least $950 to pay for their trip to Washington, DC. They have raised $589.55 so far. If they sell bagels to raise the rest of the money and charge $2 for each bagel sold, what is the minimum number of bagels they need to sell to raise enough money?

    Amount required for the trip = $950

    Amount saved so far = $589.55

    Remaining amount = 950 - 589.55 = $360.45

    Cost of one bagel = $2

    To raise the balance, number of bagels to be sold = 360.45/2 = 180.225 ≈ 181 bagels.

    To raise the balance, at least 181 bagels should be sold.
