    To put this in simpler form, you combine like terms:

    -4j - 1 - 4j + 6

    -8j - 1 + 6

    final answer: - 8j + 5

    Keep in mind that a lot of teachers teach math sifferently, so the way I was taught could be different from the way you earned. This was one of the simplest ways to do it.
