At a cat show, 60% of the cats had long hair. There were 168 cats with long hair in the show. How many cats were in the show?

    Let's call the total number of cats x.

    We know that 0.6x = 168

    To find x, we divide both sides by 0.6

    x = 168/0.6

    x = 280 cats
