Denise is checking to determine if the expressions x+x+6 and 4+3x-2 are equivalent. When x=4, she correctly found that both expressions have a value of 14.

When x=2, she correctly evaluated the first expression to find that x+x+6=10. What is the value of the second expression when x=2, and are the two expressions equivalent?
