Over the course of a year, a tractor-trailer commutes 160,000 miles across America. Assuming a trucker changes his tires every 40,000 miles, and that he starts with a brand new set of tires, how many sets of tires will he use in a year?

    160,000 - 40,000 = 120,000/4 = 3 sets of new tires in the first year and 4 every consecutive year.
